Fatal Crash in Berlin Under Investigation
Berlin, CT – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on Christian Lane in Berlin.
Police responded to the accident around 3:24 p.m. in the area of 221 Christian Lane. According to initial findings, one of the vehicles involved crossed the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of one vehicle, identified as 67-year-old Ronald ***** , was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. To assist in the investigation, the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad has been called to the scene.
Christian Lane remains closed between Route 9 and Deming Road as officials continue to process the site. No further details have been released at this time.
